### Alex Avila Brat and commentary around it [[Brat and the Culture of Addiction]] Alexander Avila is someone whose Youtube video titles have caught my attention for a time, but I've taken time to actually WATCH any videos. This video clocked in at an hour and 20 minutes, which is just shy of my 1.5 hour mark for new creator content. I'm going to check out his other essays, but in all honesty i find it difficult to jump into a 3 hour dialogue/essay from a new creator. I don't have the focus to follow anyone but a handful of creators on this. In attempting to dissect Mr.Beast from a non-simulacratized viewpoint, Alexander points to a document that Donaldson himself published detailing that his channel is focused not on making "funny videos" or "trending videos" but rather on making the "Best YouTube videos" possible. Why is this vital to understand? Because while you might be watching expecting something, the product has already been so well crafted for you that you Funny side note, when double checking my list for creators that do longer form videos, I noticed the list of non-cismale and transfem creators I watchall keep their content under 30 minutes and in some rare cases hit the hour mark...i'd absolutely watch a 3 hour epic from these creators, though.
